Our 600th Quiz!

Thanks to the few of you who showed up Sunday for Who Wants a Dollar?’s 600th quiz! It was a low turn-out (I don’t blame you, it was super cold), but we made the most of it with some special prizes and fun competitions.

Round 1, Arrested Development, wasn’t just about the show, it was also about celebrity arrests. You guys did really well on this round, and I know have a new found respect for Daniel Baldwin.

Audio round, The Konami Code Mystery. This round was a fun one, the songs were pretty easy, but the Mystery, very hard. I think we were about 8 questions in when one of you guys finally realized all the songs together made up the Konami Code! Way to go TEAM APOLLO, at least I think it was you guys who figured it out.

After round 2, we decided to have a little fun with an intermission chug off!

The rules are quite simple. Drink fast.

As you can see, I’m determined to win, but purple stripey shirt guy came out victorious.

Round 3, You Say You Want a Revolution, all about The Beatles and Revolutions. From the crossing of the Delaware to Thomas the Tank Engine, I Think we covered just about everything on this round. We also decided to give away another prize via creative challenge. You just had to draw what you thought would be the most awesome t-shirt ever. And you have very strange taste in clothing. Pretty much everyone drew a penis, except one team that strayed from the norm and drew a vagina. You guys one for your originality.

Round 4, Picture round on Kid Actors. Most were pretty easy, although you struggled a bit with Curt and Courtney and Keanu Reeves. I think everyone got at least 5 though, so pats on the back for you.

Fiff round was on everyones favorite vegetable, PIZZA! Pretty simple round for the most part, I think everyone got at least 6 with the top team getting a near perfect 9. Now it was time to give away our big prize!

We split the room in 2 and had you guys race to form the first 6 person pyramid.

Right side of the room was off to a good start…

But the left side won it, building the fastest pyramid! Now they’ll have to compete against themselves in a dance off:

and Brown Leather Jacket guy stepped in to retaliate.

Now it’s the girls time to groove. Lets see what they got.

It was very close, but leather jacket guy was our winner! You won the grand prize of a shot of whiskey and an Ozzy Osbourne LP!

Let’s move into our round 6 real quick. Questions ranged from The Beatles to Craps to the Chorroid Plexus? It was a tough one, but it all worked out in the end:
